Baseball!

Such a pleasure tonight to go to a preseason baseball game at AT&T Park with my youngest son, Dylan. He is a big Giants fan. Since it was an exhibition game we agreed that we would leave after the sixth inning if the game was out of reach.

It was. The A's were ahead 7-1. He got a funny hat at the gate and wore it but it is too small for his head. But the game was a joke.

So we went home where, as it turned out there was still half of the fourth quarter left to watch on TV of the Warriors basketball game. We witnessed a last second win by the home team by one point.

That made up for the bad baseball game.

I've been thinking about how fathers and sons bond through sports, and fathers and daughters also. This Saturday I will be driving my youngest daughter, Julia, all the way down to Monterey for her soccer game.

Domestic Things

I got to cook one of Dylan's favorites -- spaghetti -- Saturday night. Today I came home at lunch and took Dylan and Julia to El Matate for lunch. Life really doesn't get any better than this.

Birthday Party #4

Today we gathered in El Cerrito to celebrate granddaughter Sophia's fourth birthday. A fantastic day with great weather, food, and company!
