Soccer Returns

This may be the final round for me to see one of my kids play this great game. It depends on whether Julia chooses to continue paying after this spring.

I'm sunburned tonight, first time in a long time.

I love the game and I love watching my athletes.

Julia played tough in a loss. Very physical. I am proud of her.

Thursday Night Babysitting

The teens and I had the pleasure tonight to take care of little Leif (4) and Oliver (2), after they visited my office with my daughter, Sarah Daisy.

Everyone in the office fawned over the little boys, who are so cute. Leif is old enough to appreciate what I showed him there -- the TV control room, the radio control room, a couple of radio taping booths, the big screen TVs in our newsroom, and my office, with three computer screens.

Back home, the teens took over. They played "soccer" in the backyard, read them books, and showed them video games.

Meanwhile, Sarah connected with friends from elementary school she hasn't seen in a quarter century.

Rain and Hail; Family Night

Finally Uncle Aidan got to meet his youngest niece, Daisy, tonight. He's been so anxious to do so, but his work schedule has prevented it, until this day. It is not a school night for Dylan and Julia (spring break) and he had the night off, so across the Bay Bridge to El Cerrito we went, in a driving rain storm.

Earlier, at the office, I went over to the windows in the newsroom at 8:45 a.m. as hail struck KQED.

Lovely stuff all the way around.
