Under a blue sky, our fruits are growing.
Today was the last day of school; now summer vacation begins! My younger kids feel free.
Now is a time when they can what they want to do.

A magical time, by my memory.

Many decades after my own first day of summer vacation, in a far different era, when the end of a school year meant the start of my work schedule, I empathize with my children's joy.

It's time for them to dream and experiment, read, play, feel free. These are the best years of all, but of course we would never tell them this.
