Back to Montana

At tonight's dinner in an Italian restaurant on Mission Street, we get ready to send off Aidan to Missoula for his sophomore year. He was pretty quiet -- I think these moments of transition exhaust him on some level.

He also came by my place this morning and we talked for a while about things generally and school specifically. Then he fell asleep for a while. (He said he stayed up too late last night.)

I decided to skip my early meetings and just stay here with him until he was ready to move on. He is such a terrific young man.

Tonight after dinner he is trying to balance saying goodbye to his gym buddies and playing some video games with Dylan and not staying up *too* late when he has to wake up at 3 a.m. for an early flight.

Ah to be 20...
