Pat Yollin has passed away. She served as our copy editor at KQED and she was my friend. Every day, we would discuss the stories our reporters submitted, and correct any errors we found, and then publish them.
But Pat was much more than a copy editor. She was a great writer in her own right. She accomplished many things in her distinguished career. I loved working with her.
Since she became ill last fall, I have been wanting to visit her. But I didn't make it in time.
Good bye my friend. You never met a sentence you couldn't improve.
