A big group of my family members converged on my old flat today. We procured boxes from nearby corner stores and the result is that almost all the books are now packed.
We got lunch from El Matate, and prepared more items for Monday's "bulky item pickup." I'm finally able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. As my son-in-law carried boxes of books into the El Cerrito recycling center's book drop-off building, he said that people were fighting over my books because they such resellable books.
I'm happy they will find new homes.
