The pace and routines of a hospital stay quickly become familiar. People come and go, checking this and that. Carts rumble by; other patients struggling (like you) with relearning to walk shuffle by. Someone brings you meals; someone clears away the dishes when you're done.
Occasionally a family member or friend comes by. These are special moments.
