I still get tired when I do normal things: Walking, writing texts to people, going with the family on errands.
I don't get tired when working on my memoir, luckily.
The morning fog was burned off by the sun here in the East Bay hills. I drafted the parts of my memoir dealing with CIR and Circle of Poison today.

Post Fourth
The travelers are back after camping in the snow. We are having a late arrival of summer this year. So the kid got to see how in California, snow in the mountains translates into lakes and streams that deliver fresh water to our homes and farms.
Aidan is back from Tahoe as well, having seen a bear up close.

Weekend Life
Loic drove me to his hairdresser's and I got my first haircut in months. We watched some soccer and baseball. He's been painting and cleaning up the house for the family's trip to France at the end of this month.
In a bit I expect a visit from the fine young reporter Alex Emslie.

Visit Home
Loic drove me into SF. We stopped by SF, where I cleaned out my office for the last time. Then we went to my apartment, which is now cleaner and neater than in years. Peter came by to install some lightbulbs, then we drove him to BART.
Then Loic and I had lunch at El Matate, before returning to my flat.
Now, it's evening and we're back in El Cerrito.

Happy 4th
Much excitement here this morning as the kids prepared for their holiday backpacking trip. They marched around carrying backpacks, knives and water bottles. The place they are going is in the Sierra forest, with streams and lakes nearby.
The weather is hot and dry. I told the boys about a game I often played with my sons on such trips. We'd find the base of a big tree and gather twigs, cones, acorns, branches, leaves, and other materials to build a "fort."

Monday Stuff
The two older kids had sleepovers with friends. Daisy and I watched "The Sound of Music." L&L continue to work on this house (painting), packing, and getting ready for France.
I peck away at the memoir. I can't tell if it is any good. I'm too weak to do anything else.
The crew is due tomorrow for a "deep clean" of my flat. The boys have been throwing things away and straightening it up for weeks. Then I should move back in on Wednesday or so.
Today I again sat in the son and played with the dog. I could hear the train whistles just like back in Bay City when I was home from school for months wth rheumatic fever.

Sunday Sunday
Today I sat out in the sun and played with the dog, who loves to retrieve rocks; watched the kids play. and ate lunch.
Later I went along for the ride when Laila took some stuff to the local recycling center.
Just now I watched the Giants game on TV.
It is frustrating how slow my physical rehab is going. I can stand and walk but I can't go anyehere fast.
